On Monday we went to garrett's dad's grave for memorial day. (for those that don't know his dad was killed in a car wreck when garrett was 18) We go every year and visit. Here are a few pictures of the girls and garrett cleaning off the head stone of John's grave. His sister also died when she was 10 years old, she was born before garrett was born. We enjoy this time every year where we get together and honor him, i'm so grateful for John, everyone says garrett is so much like him. He taught Garrett some of the most valuable lesson in life and Garrett truly misses him, especially when it's time to make big discisions (when he needs some advice). The sunday night we told the girls what we were doing the next day, going to see grandpa's grave and it was hard for them to understand. They thought we were driving to heaven to visit him there. I love kids minds, they are so sweet.
Trenton and Maren were able to come up for the weekend and we really enjoyed playing games until 12:00pm we stayed at Marys so we could play games when the kids went to bed. Thanks for the great time guys. Garrett and i also got the chance to go Saturday to the Carrie Underwoon concert, it was the first concert that we had been to beside the ones the radio puts on, it was just nice to get away and enjoy some alone time. Thanks Emily and Brock for watching the kids.
