Family

One of the kids favorite things to do is to make smores over a camp fire outside. We do this alot during the summer months. Madalyn had the treats for FHE last monday night and she really wanted to go outside and try it. It was a little cold but we really enjoyed it. It made us really want warmer weather, our family enjoys being outside together. The rest of Family Home Evening went really well, Morgan gave a talk on Noah's Ark and Madie gave a great talk on sharing, she bore her testimony at the end. It was the sweetest thing ever. I love special moments like that, it made me cry.

Natalie has started sleeping with the girls. She has been wanting to sleep with someone for a long time now, she thinks she is a big girl. She has been doing ok. She wants to play when we first put her in bed (she loves the excitment of being in a big bed with her sisters) after the girls fall asleep then she will go to bed. She loves to sleep close to someone, it's a good thing madalyn enjoys it too.

Jr. Miss Program

On Saturday was the Connell-North Franklin Junior Miss Program. "Everybody Dance Now" was the theme of the night. I am so proud of Sarah. She has worked incredibly hard over the past three months and showed poise, grace, integrity, and beauty. Here are a few pictures of the night.

At the end of the night she was crowned the Jr. Miss Queen, that is right she WON....... The awards that she won that night were: The Leadership Award and The Interview Award. There were a lot of girls that our family knew, they all did a wonderful job. The finalists are Brianna Casper, Chelsea Baker, and Maira Viveros. There was so much talent that night, these girls looked amazing.

Here is
our family that night. We were missing Chad and Jande (he had to work )and Natalie did not go. I knew I would not enjoy the night if she was there. Madalyn and Morgan loved the program, I'm afraid that they both want to do it when they are older. Their favorite part was the fitness, and watching all the beautiful dresses. Great Job Sarah, but you can kiss your summer free time good bye.

Just another Sunday...........

Sunday mornings are a crazy time around the Jenks home, today we had stake conference. I was glad that it started at 10:00 that meant 1 extra hour to get the kids and dinner ready. It never seems like enough time to get it all done on time.

The kids looked so cute today for church, Natalie was not having a good day as you can tell. This is the baby she takes everywhere she goes.
This weekend we were able to go see Aunt Sarah Play in the state basketball tour. in Yakima. It was so much fun to go and cheer her on. State started on Wednesday and ended on Saturday. We were only able to go on Thursday, I was planning on going a few more days but the 3 girls all got sick and we had to stay home. We ended up taking them into the doctors office on Friday and they all got put on a 5 day Azithromycin. They are doing much better. Sarah's team ended up taking 6th at State, they did great but they should have been in the state championship. Sarah is a great basketball star and has one year left. Next year Sarah.
This week she is also doing Jr. Miss. & Track starts for spring sports. She is so busy, but always trys to make time for the girls. Good Luck this week we will be cheering for you on Saturday night.

Craft Day

Yesterday Emily and I decided to have a craft day. We both needed some Easter decorations so we got some wood and Brock cut them into blocks for us. I have to say Emily and Brock did all the preparation work. Thanks so much. All I can take credit for was showing up and making my blocks.

The girls really wanted to make some blocks also, they really enjoyed painting and cutting out their paper.

We finished and it all went well. I put mine on top of our bookcase. We now know why the women at the crafts shows charge what they do. It was alot of fun. It was so nice to get together as sisters and just enjoy visiting with each other.
