Coupons

I have to say I have been couponing for over a year now and I don't know how I could ever go back to paying full price for most items. It is a lot of work sometimes but I love it when I get home and lay everything out on the table and see how well I did that day. I left the house at 6:45 am to do my couponing deals. This is what I came home with:

40 boxes of cereal
20 yoplait yogurts
3 gallons of milk
4 hidden valley ranches dressings
4 pacifiers for Brooklyn
10 packs of Dove Bar soap (6 bars each pack)

*I paid $16.71 out of pocket + 7 more coupons for a gallon each of free milk*

What a great shopping trip, after I was done I helped Emily get some of the great deals I had just done. I love helping save money for our family.

Pool

We have been feeling the heat the last week. It's been getting really hot!!! We have been eating lots of popsicles. Brooklyn loves them and gets really messy when eating them. Don't even try and take it away from her, until she is done. She becomes not a happy girl. As you can tell the sun has turned her hair even whiter.

We talked Garrett into buying the pool from Costco this year. It took lots of begging on my part. He just didn't want the hassle of a pool, but I think he realizes how much the kids love it. I was worried we would not have anywhere to swim this year. It's a great size for the kids, 4 feet deep. I even get in and swim around with Brooklyn.

With the hot weather we have spent lots of time outside. Madalyn has learned to do hand stands, front and back somersaults in the water.

Red, White, and Blue

The 4th of July was fun for the kids and me, Garrett had to work at the fire department. We went to the Basin City parade and then to my mom's for a BBQ. We didn't go to see any fire works we were in Bed by 9:00, we were still trying to get caught up on sleep from the cabin.

Brooklyn waiting for the candy to come.

The Cabin

Enjoying some fireworks at the cabin

We decided to go to the cabin after we went to silverwood. It was a fun weekend with Jason and Karyn and Brady and Rachael. We were the first family up there since this past winter so there was a lot of work to be done.
The kids enjoyed the sand and building big sand castles.

We took up the four wheelers and we went up and rode the trails. Madalyn even drove the small one all by herself.

We enjoyed doing smores.

Silverwood

We took the kids to Silverwood last Thursday. Madalyn and Morgan had done a reading program in school where they received free tickets to the park so we had promised them we would go this year.

The weather was a little cold for the water park only a high of 65 that day but a perfect day for all the rides. The best thing about the weather being cold there were less people and no long lines to stand in.
The last hour before the park closed we went to the water park and the kids played for a little while. It was still cold, so not to much swimming happened. They have a fun swim area the kids would have loved it if it was warmer.

They loved riding all the rides, since the girls are in love with horses that was a big hit.

With the lines being short it gave us chance to ride lots of rides and if we wanted to be could ride most of them a few times before going on to the next ride. Which was so nice cause we had to take turns staying with Brooklyn.
There were a few rides she could do, when she could ride she loved them. She just cried when she could not go and could see the girls riding the ride. She thinks she is 5 and as big as them already. She knows what she wants and when she doesn't get it she is mad.

This was the longest ride we had to wait for but the kids really wanted to go on the bumper boats. They could spray water at each other.

Enjoying some fun kids rides. Morgan was our dare devil, she tried all of the really big roller coasters. She really liked them, one was really scary for her she about lost her glasses on that ride. It scared her a little when she couldn't hold on cause she was trying to find her glasses. I was sitting next to her and she was scared she was going to lose her glasses and she would get in trouble. I felt bad cause it was a scary ride we were both trying to hang on to the glasses.

They had quite a few big rides for the kids to go on. What a fun day it turned out to be.

Madalyn was just content to stay on the kids rides, she did go on some big ones but didn't like them to well.
