Craft Day

Yesterday Emily and I decided to have a craft day. We both needed some Easter decorations so we got some wood and Brock cut them into blocks for us. I have to say Emily and Brock did all the preparation work. Thanks so much. All I can take credit for was showing up and making my blocks.

The girls really wanted to make some blocks also, they really enjoyed painting and cutting out their paper.

We finished and it all went well. I put mine on top of our bookcase. We now know why the women at the crafts shows charge what they do. It was alot of fun. It was so nice to get together as sisters and just enjoy visiting with each other.

Our little get away

We are back from a great little trip to Boise. I finally feel caught up on all the normal household things that need to be done when you get back from a vacation so here are some of the highlights from our 5 day trip.

We left on Wednesday after our dentist appointments, all of us had cleanings and no one had an cavities. YES that is a first. Madalyn was a little sad that she was going to miss 2 days of preschool but she really wanted to go play with all the cousins. Her preschool teacher saved all her work for her to do when she got back so that made it better. We first went to Karena's for 2 day. We had a great time visiting and enjoyed her new little 3 month old baby girl. (this was the first time we had seen her).
We went to Trenton & Maren's and played lots of games, we enjoy that and with kids it doesn't happen very often.
A few of these pictures are from Build a Bear at the mall, all the grandkids went and each got to pick out their animal. It was alot of fun for them.

The kids at playing dress up with Jace and Jenna. Look at Jaces shoes, (so cute trenton). One night some of their friends came over and Jace was the only boy with 6 girls. Natalie just love being around the babies, she could not get enough of them. She was able to sit and hold them ALOT these past few days, she cried everytime she had to give them up.

The 4 girls enjoying a bath together. Thanks alot everyone we had a great time.

Strawberry Shortcake

I was wanting to find a new blog background so I let the kids pick this one out. My girls thought that it looked like strawberry shortcake, and they love her. Not much is going on around here, I hate this time of year. There is nothing to do!!!!! You can't work or play outside and no Holidays to look forward to. My kids are sick of staying home and not being able to go outside. So we are going this weekend to visit some of Garrett's family near Boise, it should be lots of fun we will be able to see 3 of his brothers and sisters. The kids can't wait to go play with their cousins.
P.S. I forgot to let everyone know I got my braces off last Monday, It feels great to have them off.

Hugs & Kisses To All

Happy Valentines Day Garrett-----Garrett had to work today so I thought that I would do his Card on the blog so he could get something today. He is the best husband anyone could ask for. Last week he gave me my valentines day present early (he hates to wait when he buys something), he got me a new tower for the computer. We have been having a lot of problems with our old computer but I didn't want to spend the money and get a new one. Even though we needed one really bad. It was a big surprise. Thanks Garrett it is so nice to have a computer that works.

We made sugar cookies today with my mom and Emily. It was so nice to have a day with just the girls. Emily and I worked out for an hour, then we made cookies, and painted the girls nails.

So Much fun, but what a mess. It is a good thing grandma doesn't care if we are messy.

The kids just love it when we get together with the family and do fun things like this.

Showing off our pink and red fingernails, Emily also put white hearts on them.

Garrett and I got a babysitter last night and went to the movies and to dinner for Valentines Day. We saw the movie Taken, it was great a must see. Then we went to eat at Panda Express cause we didn't want to wait in line to eat for ever. We also went to look and dream of someday buying a travel traitor. Thanks Honey for a great night out. You are my best friend, Thanks for always putting the girls and my needs before you. I love you so much and look forward to forever with you.

Mesa Carnival

On Saturday the Girls and us had a very busy day: We went to cheer leading practice in the morning, the Mesa Carnival at the school, and then to sarah's basketball game and then the girls danced in the half time show.
Natalie enjoying treats at the carnival

Morgan would not let anyone touch her cotton candy.

Madalyn and the bounce house. We had a great time but there were lots of people.

Future Cheerleaders

On Saturday the Connell High School Cheerleaders put on a Cheer Clinic. They went to the High school from 9:00-11:30 in the morning to learn the dance. They had so much fun.

This was Morgan's first time being able to do this. If you know her this is just what she loves.

Madalyn and one of her best friends Kianna. They were so happy to be dressed like the big cheer leaders.

This is one of Sarah's best friends Myra, she is so good with the girls. They love her so much. A few months ago Madalyn told me she wanted to be named Myra and not Madalyn. She is a great friend to my girls.
They performed at the Half Time of the Boys Basketball game that night. They were all smiles, and did a great job. I was worried they would get out there and not dance but that was not the case they danced their little hearts out.

Morgan got to be the girl that got to go up on the stunt(she was one of the smallest kids). They had about five girls do this, it was really cute to see.

After a long and busy day the kids all crashed on the way home, we got home around 10:00 that night.

On Monday I took Madalyn and Morgan to town to get their hair cut. It was a battle!!! Madalyn wants bangs so bad. She has been asking for them for about 8 months now. It really has been that long. I asked her why she wants them and she said that they are so cute and everyone has them (she then listed about 8 people that have them, I can't believe it she really does notice things like that). As you can tell I talked her out of it. She did want her hair short so I agreed to that. Morgan did get about 4 inches cut off you really can't tell that much. She likes her hair long like a TRUE princess.

The girls are working out with us. Our 1 hour workout usually takes us 2 hours when the kids are around, and want to do everything we do. You would not believe it Madie can do 3 pull-ups very well, going all the way down and then back up. She is so strong. Morgan on the other hand swings like a monkey. It is crazy how different these two are built. Yes the kids are in summer clothes, we are ready for the warmer weather.

Here Comes Trouble

My little Princess Natalie. I wanted to take a minute to let you all know about how big she is getting. Natalie is almost 2 but thinks she is 5. Since she has older sisters she thinks and tries to do everything that they do. She has a fun sweet personality.

We sometimes call her Chunky Monkey, cause she always wants something to eat and is quite the little climber. She has become daddy's little girl and the days he is home she follows him around like a shadow. He wonders why I can't get anything done during the day. She loves to be the baby of the family, she often wants to get her baby and be rocked. We can't go anywhere with out that baby, and blanket. She loves babies, she will find one at church or at the store and it is hard to get her to leave the baby alone.

I can no longer call her a baby. She is talking like crazy. She can say about 20 words very well and tries to talk and tell you what she wants. She gets very mad when you don't understand her, she will often go get Madalyn or Morgan to try and tell them what she wants. (The funny thing is they usually know what she wants or they will find her something that will make her happy.) She loves nursery but is mad if you are late picking her up and she is the last kid there. Thanks Natalie for adding so much joy to our family. We love your smile.

Triple Play

On the 28th day of December we went up to the triple play in Hayden Idaho just past Spokane. We were worried about the weather if we were going to make it up there. It was really bad weather just after Christmas. But we really wanted to go so we picked up Grandma Jenks and went . I am just now getting use to my new camera and learning how to down load the pictures to the computer. Here are a few pictures of the fun few days we spent there.
Madalyn loved counting all her tickets, we had a lot. The girls really enjoyed playing all the games.

This was one of Garrett and I favorite games. Deal or No Deal. We could win a lot of tickets from this game. Garrett had the best luck, the most you could win was 200 tickets and he won that amount 3 times. We played this game many times.
Swimming was another highlight of the trip. With it being so cold outside it was really nice to be able to swim. My kids love staying in hotels, they were so tired at night they just crashed. I was so proud of Madalyn she went down 2 slides, she was just tall enough to go down the big kids slides and she did great. The first one we went down was the fastest, I wish I would have known this cause she was so scared and would not go again until that night. I had to bribe her with a pack of gum. It is amazing what Gum does.
Madalyn riding the little kids slides. Morgan was very upset she was not tall enough to go on the big slides. She is my dare devil. I hope she can go on all the Disneyland rides or we are going to be in trouble.Natalie just enjoying the water, she loved the hot tub. She didn't like the colder water.

Play Land and Madalyn.
Another picture of Garrett playing the Deal or No Deal game. We better not go to Vegas, I would never get him home.

The girls really enjoyed stopping the spider. And the pony rides.
We had a great Christmas vacation, it was filled with lots of great memories. Here at the triple play we swam, bowling, mini golf, played lots of fun games, ate great food, and most important had lots of time together as a family.

Lost

Today Garrett and I were able to go to the temple, It was a nice break from the kids and the worldly cares. Thanks to my mom for watching the kids. They always love to go to grandmas house. They helped make bread and cookies. We enjoyed having the bread for dinner tonight. Yummy.
Calling all LOST Fans:
That is right the T.V. show lost is on tonight. I love this show. I usually don't miss my wednesday nights of lost and if I do I know I can always call Jande to find out what happened. Last week was the start of the new season. What do you think will happen to them. I would like to see Kate and Jack get back together. Does anyone else love lost or what are some other shows that are worth my time.
