Family

One of the kids favorite things to do is to make smores over a camp fire outside. We do this alot during the summer months. Madalyn had the treats for FHE last monday night and she really wanted to go outside and try it. It was a little cold but we really enjoyed it. It made us really want warmer weather, our family enjoys being outside together. The rest of Family Home Evening went really well, Morgan gave a talk on Noah's Ark and Madie gave a great talk on sharing, she bore her testimony at the end. It was the sweetest thing ever. I love special moments like that, it made me cry.

Natalie has started sleeping with the girls. She has been wanting to sleep with someone for a long time now, she thinks she is a big girl. She has been doing ok. She wants to play when we first put her in bed (she loves the excitment of being in a big bed with her sisters) after the girls fall asleep then she will go to bed. She loves to sleep close to someone, it's a good thing madalyn enjoys it too.

Jr. Miss Program

On Saturday was the Connell-North Franklin Junior Miss Program. "Everybody Dance Now" was the theme of the night. I am so proud of Sarah. She has worked incredibly hard over the past three months and showed poise, grace, integrity, and beauty. Here are a few pictures of the night.

At the end of the night she was crowned the Jr. Miss Queen, that is right she WON....... The awards that she won that night were: The Leadership Award and The Interview Award. There were a lot of girls that our family knew, they all did a wonderful job. The finalists are Brianna Casper, Chelsea Baker, and Maira Viveros. There was so much talent that night, these girls looked amazing.

Here is
our family that night. We were missing Chad and Jande (he had to work )and Natalie did not go. I knew I would not enjoy the night if she was there. Madalyn and Morgan loved the program, I'm afraid that they both want to do it when they are older. Their favorite part was the fitness, and watching all the beautiful dresses. Great Job Sarah, but you can kiss your summer free time good bye.

Just another Sunday...........

Sunday mornings are a crazy time around the Jenks home, today we had stake conference. I was glad that it started at 10:00 that meant 1 extra hour to get the kids and dinner ready. It never seems like enough time to get it all done on time.

The kids looked so cute today for church, Natalie was not having a good day as you can tell. This is the baby she takes everywhere she goes.
This weekend we were able to go see Aunt Sarah Play in the state basketball tour. in Yakima. It was so much fun to go and cheer her on. State started on Wednesday and ended on Saturday. We were only able to go on Thursday, I was planning on going a few more days but the 3 girls all got sick and we had to stay home. We ended up taking them into the doctors office on Friday and they all got put on a 5 day Azithromycin. They are doing much better. Sarah's team ended up taking 6th at State, they did great but they should have been in the state championship. Sarah is a great basketball star and has one year left. Next year Sarah.
This week she is also doing Jr. Miss. & Track starts for spring sports. She is so busy, but always trys to make time for the girls. Good Luck this week we will be cheering for you on Saturday night.

Craft Day

Yesterday Emily and I decided to have a craft day. We both needed some Easter decorations so we got some wood and Brock cut them into blocks for us. I have to say Emily and Brock did all the preparation work. Thanks so much. All I can take credit for was showing up and making my blocks.

The girls really wanted to make some blocks also, they really enjoyed painting and cutting out their paper.

We finished and it all went well. I put mine on top of our bookcase. We now know why the women at the crafts shows charge what they do. It was alot of fun. It was so nice to get together as sisters and just enjoy visiting with each other.

Our little get away

We are back from a great little trip to Boise. I finally feel caught up on all the normal household things that need to be done when you get back from a vacation so here are some of the highlights from our 5 day trip.

We left on Wednesday after our dentist appointments, all of us had cleanings and no one had an cavities. YES that is a first. Madalyn was a little sad that she was going to miss 2 days of preschool but she really wanted to go play with all the cousins. Her preschool teacher saved all her work for her to do when she got back so that made it better. We first went to Karena's for 2 day. We had a great time visiting and enjoyed her new little 3 month old baby girl. (this was the first time we had seen her).
We went to Trenton & Maren's and played lots of games, we enjoy that and with kids it doesn't happen very often.
A few of these pictures are from Build a Bear at the mall, all the grandkids went and each got to pick out their animal. It was alot of fun for them.

The kids at playing dress up with Jace and Jenna. Look at Jaces shoes, (so cute trenton). One night some of their friends came over and Jace was the only boy with 6 girls. Natalie just love being around the babies, she could not get enough of them. She was able to sit and hold them ALOT these past few days, she cried everytime she had to give them up.

The 4 girls enjoying a bath together. Thanks alot everyone we had a great time.

Strawberry Shortcake

I was wanting to find a new blog background so I let the kids pick this one out. My girls thought that it looked like strawberry shortcake, and they love her. Not much is going on around here, I hate this time of year. There is nothing to do!!!!! You can't work or play outside and no Holidays to look forward to. My kids are sick of staying home and not being able to go outside. So we are going this weekend to visit some of Garrett's family near Boise, it should be lots of fun we will be able to see 3 of his brothers and sisters. The kids can't wait to go play with their cousins.
P.S. I forgot to let everyone know I got my braces off last Monday, It feels great to have them off.

Hugs & Kisses To All

Happy Valentines Day Garrett-----Garrett had to work today so I thought that I would do his Card on the blog so he could get something today. He is the best husband anyone could ask for. Last week he gave me my valentines day present early (he hates to wait when he buys something), he got me a new tower for the computer. We have been having a lot of problems with our old computer but I didn't want to spend the money and get a new one. Even though we needed one really bad. It was a big surprise. Thanks Garrett it is so nice to have a computer that works.

We made sugar cookies today with my mom and Emily. It was so nice to have a day with just the girls. Emily and I worked out for an hour, then we made cookies, and painted the girls nails.

So Much fun, but what a mess. It is a good thing grandma doesn't care if we are messy.

The kids just love it when we get together with the family and do fun things like this.

Showing off our pink and red fingernails, Emily also put white hearts on them.

Garrett and I got a babysitter last night and went to the movies and to dinner for Valentines Day. We saw the movie Taken, it was great a must see. Then we went to eat at Panda Express cause we didn't want to wait in line to eat for ever. We also went to look and dream of someday buying a travel traitor. Thanks Honey for a great night out. You are my best friend, Thanks for always putting the girls and my needs before you. I love you so much and look forward to forever with you.

Mesa Carnival

On Saturday the Girls and us had a very busy day: We went to cheer leading practice in the morning, the Mesa Carnival at the school, and then to sarah's basketball game and then the girls danced in the half time show.
Natalie enjoying treats at the carnival

Morgan would not let anyone touch her cotton candy.

Madalyn and the bounce house. We had a great time but there were lots of people.

Future Cheerleaders

On Saturday the Connell High School Cheerleaders put on a Cheer Clinic. They went to the High school from 9:00-11:30 in the morning to learn the dance. They had so much fun.

This was Morgan's first time being able to do this. If you know her this is just what she loves.

Madalyn and one of her best friends Kianna. They were so happy to be dressed like the big cheer leaders.

This is one of Sarah's best friends Myra, she is so good with the girls. They love her so much. A few months ago Madalyn told me she wanted to be named Myra and not Madalyn. She is a great friend to my girls.
They performed at the Half Time of the Boys Basketball game that night. They were all smiles, and did a great job. I was worried they would get out there and not dance but that was not the case they danced their little hearts out.

Morgan got to be the girl that got to go up on the stunt(she was one of the smallest kids). They had about five girls do this, it was really cute to see.

After a long and busy day the kids all crashed on the way home, we got home around 10:00 that night.
