Easter Weekend

Our Easter weekend was packed with lots of fun. We spent time with family, the kids found more candy than they can eat. We had great weather for a few days.
On Sunday we went to church then had a BBQ at my mom's house, and had all the Eppich cousins over for the Easter Egg Hunt. What a fun time for the kids.

The kids always enjoy spending time with their cousin.

Brooklyn's first Easter. 10 months old. She was so excited to see the eggs. We have had Easter Eggs around our house for about a month now, the kids have been hiding them and finding them. Brooklyn has enjoyed playing with them.

The kids got new swim suits, clothes, sunglasses, water bottle and candy.

What a fun time for Morgan and her cousin Jocelyn. They only see each other 2 times a year, so when they do they always have a great time. All the kids spent the night at Vard's and then Jocelyn came to our house the next day.
Friday we went to Vard's for the Jenks Easter Party. The kids got more eggs then they could fit in their baskets. Natalie did very well. I couldn't believe all the eggs she found, all the practicing at home paid off I guess.

Garrett helping the kids, they are looking for the golden egg. We didn't find it this year.

Preparing for the BIG Easter Egg Hunt

Free at last

Tuesday we went to get Brooklyn's cast off. What a HAPPY DAY!!!! I don't know who was more excited her or me.

She was not to sure of the blade, she didn't want to hold very still. The doctor said that it looked really good, he was impressed with the healing of the femur. It's about 90% healed he said just be careful with her. It should take about 3 more months to fully heal.

She still favors that leg, we think it's still a little sore for her. Over time it should get stronger.

Shrine Circus

On Saturday we took the family to the circus. It was the first time we had been to the circus. I don't even remember going as a kid. Garrett said they went when he was little but he doesn't remember much. The Shrine Circus came to the Trac in Pasco this past weekend so we thought we would see how it was.

We had invited my parents to come and go with us, the kids were so happy that they could make it.

When we got there they were giving Elephant rides. The kids really wanted to go. We went to see how much they were and I about died...$10 a person for a very short ride. But the kids really wanted to so we let them. It was a lot of money but I'm really glad we did the girls loved it. They can't stop talking about it. Plus how often do you get to ride an elephant.

My camera doesn't take the best pictures in the dark. The girls loved the circus. I really enjoyed it also. They had a horse, dog, elephant act with animals. Also some great other acts, some looked very dangerous.

Sorry so many pictures, girls wanted them all on here. So we would have them in our Families blog book.

It was so cute Brooklyn loved clapping, when she heard everyone else clapping then she would start.

cast

On Sunday before church we had everyone sign Brooklyn's cast.

Go Dodgers

Madalyn and Morgan have started T-Ball, we are the Mesa Dodgers. We had our first game on Tuesday. The kids did a great job. Me and another mom are the coaches. We were lucky we had great baseball weather.
Madalyn running the bases. At this age it's so cute and fun to watch all the kids.
Madalyn did very well, she got to be the pitcher one time. She was great, and really enjoyed it.
Morgan was the catcher when Madie was pitcher. Morgan didn't like it at all. She could not move with all the equipment on. When she went to bend over to pick up the ball she couldn't bend her knees and breat plate was so big on her, it made it hard to get the ball. She liked playing in the field better.
This is as close to picking up the ball as she could get.
Hit the ball and Run fast!!!!!
I love watching softball I hope one of our kids plays when they are older.

Proud Mama

Natalie the Proud Mama............. taking care of her 4 baby rabbits.
Today was a nice warm day so Garrett and I had taken the two girls outside to do some yard work. Duke our dog is always killing something and bringing it back to the house and leaving it on the yard or front step. Today Garrett and I were spraying weeds and we keep seeing duke coming back and forth from the haystack alongside my dad's field that is right by our house. Duke had found some baby rabbits and he was bringing them to Natalie. Garrett got Natalie a old towel to hold them in. I was very surprised how careful Duke was with the rabbits. He just carried them in his mouth and brought them back to the house. He as fine with Natalie wrapping them up in the towel. At first it was one, then two, three and finally four.
After the fourth one came and we could see where Duke was finding them we locked the dog up and went to see about putting them back. Natalie had taken care of them for awhile now and she was not to excited about putting them back in the hole. We explained that they would die without the mom and that the mom would miss them. She was ok with that as long as we told Madalyn and Morgan that they were her rabbits and she could show them to them when they got home from school.

Garrett and Natalie putting the baby rabbits back in the hole.
While we were out putting the rabbits away we also found 2 baby owls ( at least that is what we think they are). They didn't look to friendly, I keep watching for the mom to come around. My dad has quite the animal refuge out there.
