At Last...............

Garrett is done with his schooling. He finished his 4 year degree in Fire Science. What a great job Honey!!!
Today was Natalie's preschool graduation and play day. She has been looking forward to the play day for a few weeks now.

Natalie loved school and being able to go learn new things. She would come home and tell me all the fun things she learned. She loved learning about animals. The last few weeks they studied ladybugs, they even had some of their own. That was great for her. It seems like she always has some little animal in a container in the back yard. She has a frog and a moth right now.

I just love this little girl. She asked me the funniest questions. Today she was watching super readers and I was busy working in the house. Trying to get things cleaned up and done. She came up to me and asked.

N-"Mom, when do I have to be a mom"?
Me- "when you get bigger and then you can have babies"?
N- "I don't want to be a mom for a long time, cause I can't watch T.V. I have to do jobs like you."

So true Life is so easy when your little.

Memorial Day

As always we went to the Jenks Family Picnic at the park and to visit John, Kristy's Graves along with Cassidy's grave in Connell. I always look forward to going each year. My girls love spending time with their cousins.
What a fun group to spend time with. What a great legacy to leave behind. I only wish our kids had the chance to know their grandpa Jenks.
Grandpa Jenks' Grand Kids
It was really cute Madalyn and Natalie stood and just looked at the grave for a long time, they were holding each others hands and then walked off. Nothing was said. I really think they know what a special grandpa he was and that they will see him again.

Selia and Brooklyn have become good friends. She is our babysitter when we go to the temple each month with Justin and Heather.
We also had the chance to go visit on Sunday my Grandma LaVon McGary's grave with a lot of the McGary's. I forgot the camera so I don't have any pictures.

Garrett turns the big 30.....

That's right we are no longer in our 20's anymore. How sad is that!!! I can't believe that we are to this age in our lives. Garrett turned 30 last Friday. Nothing turns out the way you hope for with kids. I first tried to plan a surprised party and that didn't work so we were going to go to dinner on last Saturday but because of everyone being sick we couldn't go. Garrett was a great sport about everything that went wrong on his big day, he had to call in sick to work to stay home and take care of his really sick family.
I did surprise him with something he has wanted for a long time, surround sound Home Theater system for the living room. We will really enjoy that. We are going out with a small group this weekend to celebrate his birthday.
Happy Birthday Honey!!! Hope we have many more Birthdays together.

Morgan turns 6

Poor Morgan!!! Your not suppose to be sick on your birthday. We got the flu really bad the week of the kids and Garrett's birthdays. It hit us hard. Monday night Natalie started throwing up and then Wednesday I get a phone call from the bus driver to come and get Morgan cause she is throwing up, the same day Brooklyn gets it. Then Madalyn gets it Thursday and then me on Friday. I don't know if Garrett was lucky or not he didn't get it. But he had to call in sick on his Birthday to take care of us.
Morgan was so sad that she had to miss school on her BIG DAY.
Morgan found a picture of a turtle cake and just loved it. But of course she made some changes to the design. She wanted it purple and pink and not the green. It was sad she could not bring herself to eat her cake on her birthday, she was too sick.

Singing Happy Birthday to everyone on Sunday before her birthday.

Thursday Morning, she found enough energy to open her gifts from her sisters and Mom and Dad.
She got a make-up stand.
2 DS games, wii remote, tangled CD, flip flops and shorts outfit, poster
Happy Birthday Morgan we sure love you.

Big Birthday Girl

Natalie turned 4 years old on Saturday. She is growing up so quickly. Natalie is a great little girl that loves life and her family. We are so blessed to have her in our family.
For the kids birthday's I let them pick out the style of cake they want on the computer, then I make it for them. In the past years I have been happy with the outcome of the cakes. This year she picked out a princess castle. I started making it and nothing was going right, it fell over and when I was cutting out different pieces it was not working. I was almost in tears, Garrett's telling me to just go and buy a cake but I want to have this be something the kids remember I always made theirs. So I ended up just doing this Strawberry Shortcake one for her. I was Lucky she loved it.

Opening gifts from Family. We had family over to celebrate the 3 birthdays on Sunday. The girls love it when family comes over to play. I don't know what this hand raised up is, she does it now in her pictures.
Happy Birthday to Natalie!!! Opening gifts for us that morning. She got an umbrella, DS games, play dough, Tangled Poster, and a Bike.
Later that day we took the two birthday girls to dinner and a movie. We went and saw Rio, it was a cute movie.

Brooklyn loves to take showers with us, she loves to look over and wave while in the shower.

Brooklyn is into everything, she is growing so fast. I can't believe that in a little over a month she will turn one. She has learned that crawling is great. I think that since she has been able to get around on her own she is a lot happier and a better baby. She has learned to climb stairs, pull herself up to things, fold her arms for prayer, wave goodbye, clap her hands, and shake her head "NO" if she doesn't want something. We are working on her pointing to her nose and eyes right now. She has started drinking whole milk and is doing great, I was so happy to stop buying the expensive formula. She loves our dog duke, eating dirt outside, pulling the flowers and plants out of the garden, the swing set, dancing to music with her sisters, Mommy's tickles, and wrestling with her Daddy. I love this age, she is a blast. (Most of the time) We love you Brookie.

Fire Department

Garrett had his badging ceremony yesterday afternoon. He was promoted in the Fire Department to lieutenant back in November of last year. They waited to do the actual badging until they had a few more people to badge. When we got to city hall and walked into the room. Natalie said "Dad where is the king of the Fire Department?" We thought it was really cute. So Garrett took her to meet the chief (KING). Then she wanted to know where the Queen was and Garrett told her that they don't have a Queen. She asked if she could be the queen, he agreed if she would come in and cook and clean for them. She thought that would be great, as long as she could watch T.V. when she was done.
The kids thought it was great dad was getting an award.

Me putting the badge on him, some of the pictures didn't turn out as well as I would have liked. My parents and Sarah were able to come and then we all went to dinner after the ceremony.

We are so happy for Garrett. He has done a lot of extra work and put lots of time into getting this promotion. Great Job. We love you.

Bear Hunting

Garrett and Sean went bear hunting the end of April. I will have him post more later.

She is on the move

Brooklyn is on the move now. She started crawling really well this past week. With her broken leg it has put her behind in crawling. We thought that as soon as the cast came off she would take off right away in crawling, but she has taken it easy with her right leg.
This is Brookie's first ponytail, by this time with the other kids we had two pigtails and braids.
I love moments like this when she is asleep. She is so peaceful.

She is now crawling all over, but she still prefers Madalyn is carry her. It's so funny, if Madalyn is in the room she will cry until Madie takes her where she wants to go. But if she can't find Madalyn then she will crawl.
Messy Baby. Just a little over 10 months old.
