On Saturday the girls and I decided to pick a few pumpkins from the garden and put them on the front porch.
The wind was blowing when we went out, the kids hair was everywhere.
Brooklyn thought she was a big helper. She loved pushing the wagon with all the pumpkins in it around to the front of the house.

Fish, Fish and More Fish....
This past weekend Garrett was in pure heaven. His good friend Stanley Cox flew in from Arizona to go Salmon fishing. These two spent lots of time down at the river fishing.
They started fishing on Thursday afternoon and got one, then Friday was a great day by noon they had each reached their limits of a total of 4. They had caught some big ones that morning. 25, 21, 15,15 pounds. After the kids got home from school we all headed back down I caught a 15 pounds and Madalyn got a 16 pounds. They were really hard to reel in, but really fun. So they caught a total of 8 salmon this weekend, all of the fish together weighted over 100 pounds. Stanley took some meat back with him and we have a lot of salmon in the freezer.
Brooklyn actually did well in the boat and kept her life jacket on.
Natalie enjoying driving the boat. They always fight over which one gets to drive.
They also love to clean the floor of the boat with his scrub brush.
We were leaving and the kids decided to throw some rocks in the river. Surprisingly no one got hurt.
Me and my fish, he was a fighter.
Madalyn and hers.
It's really fun to watch these two work. They have it down to a skill what needs to be done. They were like two boys in a candy shop this weekend.

New landscaping
We have a new addition to our yard. WE FINALLY HAVE OUR WELL DONE, and my yard and driveways put back together. It only took them 3 months to get it done. What a big stress this has been for Garrett and I. We have been hauling water from my parents house for 3 months now. I have never been so grateful for running water and lots of it. We finishing on last Saturday right before the baptism. Poor Trenton and Maren they were nice enough to come up for the baptism and Trenton ended helping Garrett with this project. We put some large rocks around it so no one hits it. I told Garrett I'm going to take a bath every night for the next month. We are still waiting for a few of the test results to come back on the water sample. We were lucky enough to find water at 93 feet, but the well people think it's still ok to charge us as if it was a 600 ft. well. That's another story. Anyways, we are just glad to have water.
Baptism
"I'm trying to be like Jesus" Madalyn was Baptized on Saturday, September 24th at Basin City LDS church. She was very excited for this day to come. I'm so proud of her in Choosing the Right. Her Heavenly Father is very pleased with her choice.
Our family, Madalyn 8, Morgan 6, Natalie 4, Brooklyn 15 months.
The sign in table
Grandma was able to come up for the baptism, that was special for Madalyn.
This is the dress she got for her birthday, she wore it after she was baptized.
Madalyn with her new white dress, and scriptures. Sunday morning before church.

Madalyn turns 8
HAPPY 8TH BIRTHDAY MADALYN!!! On September 22, Madalyn turned 8. WOW!!!! Time goes so fast sometimes. She was very excited to have her special day. That morning she opened her birthday gifts from us, took cupcakes to school to share with her class. Then after school she had her first soccer game.
The girls were happy to see what she got. This year it was a surprise to them to. Most of the time they help me wrap the gifts but I was worried they would tell her this time so I did it while they were at school. Natalie knew what a few gifts were.
She got everything she needed to turn 8. I really pretty white dress, scriptures and case with her name on them, church shoes (she wanted high heals so bad), snow boots, a few shirts, earrings, and a fish night light.
She requested a Soccer cake this year. She loves soccer and is a very fast runner.
Birthday Party on Friday
Before we had her blow out the candles we told her to make a wish. She said "If I tell you the wish will it still come true"? I told her yes, I could tell she wanted to share the wish .....She said "I wish for our well to get fixed soon". I about cried. That's not what a 8 year old should be worrying about. This well has put a lot of stress on our family. Bless her heart for being worried about our family.
We let her have 5 friends over for her birthday. Since 8 is special number around our house. At the party they played Twister, played on bounce house, and the big hit was the Pinata.
Each girl got to hit it and then Madalyn finished it off and hit all the candy out. Candy went everywhere, so did screaming kids.
Happy birthday sweetheart, hope your day was special. We love you very much.

Mercantile
It's always nice to have great friends that have an "IN" to fun stuff. Brady and Rachael Cutler know the owners of the Country Mercantile really well so they took us a few weeks ago to ride all the rides for free. We got there an hour before it closed and had all the rides to ourselves. It was great!!! We went out for pizza after. They girls just loved it.
Merry go round
Airplanes
Natalie Jenks and Natalie Cutler
Brooklyn wanted to ride the rides, it was funny to see Garrett try and fit in the planes.
This roller-coaster was really fun. We had a great time that night. Thanks guys!!!

Hide and Seek
Brooklyn started walking really well about 2 weeks ago. She loves being able to play with Natalie better, and Natalie loves it also. They were hiding from me the other day, then I would go find them.
2nd grade field trip
I just went to down load all the pictures from the past 2 months and realized I'm so far behind on blogging. Life has been busy around our house. Madalyn's class went on a field trip after about 2 weeks of school. They were doing a farming unit in school and the Connell Livestock show was happening so they went there and a dairy. The kids had a great time. I was able to go with Madalyn.
