Snow days

The middle of January we had a bad snow storm come through our area. The kids only went to school one day that week. I was pulling my hair out by the end of the week, we were all trapped in the house. I hate making up the extra days at the end of the year, the snow was fun.
These pictures were of the first snow fall, only a few inches the first day but by the end of the week we had about 6 inches of snow then we started getting the freezing rain.
I have had this snow suit since Madalyn was this age. It's fun to look at each one of the in it. They all look so much alike, especially when they have a hat on.

Brooklyn cried cause she wanted to go out to play with the big girls but when she got out there she didn't like it that much. She did enjoy riding the four wheeler.

The kids played outside for hours on hours. It was really cold some days I couldn't believe they were still out playing. Kids are fearless or they were frozen and couldn't feel anything anymore.
One of the highlights was being pulled behind the four wheeler, they all loved it. I wish I would have taken pictures of them when we had more snow. Snow was flying everywhere.

Christmas Break activities

During the break we let the kids pick what they wanted to go and do. Rollorstaking was one of those. The kids did great. Garrett and i were able to sit and watch. Even Natalie was able to go on her own.
Brooklyn sat with us and ate treats, she really wanted to go out on the rink, we let her a few time just hold Madalyn hand and walk with the girls.

Natalie took a few falls but over all did a great job. After we went to get pizza.

Las Vegas

I need help!!
Garrett and I are going to Vegas in about 10 days. This is our first visit there. Do we buy tickets to the shows before or at the door,  what are some good shows, where are good places to eat? Any advice to help make the trip fun, easier and CHEAPER!!! Thanks

Opening gifts

I just found a few more picture of Christmas morning I wanted to add to my blog book.

Showing Madalyn how to use her gun.

All Garrett and I did Christmas was open boxes and put stuff together, it will be nice when they can do it all on their own.

Christmas Morning 2011

Christmas was so much fun this year for our family. With young kids it's always fun to see their reaction to everything. The three girls each got an electric scooter. This will be so much fun for them this spring and summertime. Christmas day we woke up at 6:30 and opened gift and then went to church.
Natalie got- nano Hex bug set, shoes, slippers, squinkes cupcake, MP3 touch, clothes, her ear pierced, locket necklace, Rapunzel doll.
Morgan got- Squinkes mall, boots, slippers, MP3 touch, ears pierced, movies, clothes, ds games, slap watch, wii just dance game, and fishing.
Madalyn got- telescope, shoes, jump rope, MP3 touch, clothes, blanket, movie, ds games, ear rings, slippers, slap watch.
Brooklyn got- Geo trax set, snow boots, swim suit,  butterfly pillow pet, candy.
The kids really enjoyed opening and watching each other open gifts. I was surprised how much Brooklyn loved opening gifts, once hers were all opened she helped everyone else. She couldn't get enough of opening gifts.
 Morgan 6
Brooklyn 18 months, enjoying her stocking candy

Natalie 4, wanted a real house dog. She was ok with not getting it.
Morgan and Natalie really wanted to get their ears pierced so that was one of their gifts. We took them the next day.
Madalyn 8, we actually had the tooth fairy and Santa come on the same night. Madalyn woke up in the middle of the night Christmas eve and her tooth had fallen out. She didn't even know it until she felt something in her mouth.

Highlights for Garrett- Hunting stuff ( 2 trail cameras, hunting chair, bag-pack,) jacket , new tv for our room
Highlights for Jilayne- new camera (Cannon Rebel T2i) with two different lenses, clothes, lawn chair, picture.

We had a wonderful Christmas. I'm so grateful  for  my family, and my Savior.

Sleep

During this Christmas break sleep has been something that we have enjoyed. My kids never sleep past 7:00am but because of all the late nights and busy schedules we have not been waking up until 8-9. What a great gift to Garrett and I.  Brooklyn loves sleeping with Madie, she has to be right beside her at night.
One night I went to check on them before I went to bed and they all looked so cute, I had to take a few pictures. These are the nice times. PEACEFUL
