Messy hands

 Homemade Ginger bread houses. After the breakfast at the church we came home and made the houses out of gram crackers.

 Brooklyn wanted no help with hers, which was a result of messy hands and table. She created Santa's house, with a spot to park the sled. Sooo thoughtful.

 You can never have to much candy and frosting.

Primary Santa Breakfast

 All a board the Polar Express: each kid was given a golden ticket at church on Sunday to come eat breakfast and see Santa that Saturday at the church. The food was great, and we got to wear our PJ's.

 Brooklyn was not to scared this year to see Santa, but she would not go alone. I love it, she's holding on to Natalie's hand.

We will see Christmas Morning if you made it onto Santa's good list.

Piano Recital

Morgan's 2nd year playing, she doesn't fight me to much but doesn't seem to love it.

Madalyn hates the piano, every day is a fight with her. She has to do it until she is in 7th grade, at that point she can quite. If she stops now she doesn't get to do sports.

Getting in the Christmas Spirit

 We talked Garrett into putting up the tree the Sunday before Thanksgiving. He agreed only because we were going to Rexburg for Thanksgiving and it would be nice to come home and it would all be up and done with.

 It's always fun for the kids to find their old Christmas ornaments and crafts they have made in the past years. For about 3 hours our house is a complete mess and crazy, but once we are finally done it's brought the Christmas spirit in the house.

School Spelling Bee

 Every year when the list of spelling words comes home I dread the next few weeks. Because all I have hear is "Mom can we work on my words." The girls are die hards about the spelling bee. Which I'm grateful that they want to do well in school.
Natalie's first year doing the spelling Bee, she took 1st place. In 1st grade they don't get medals (dumb) they all just get a pencil.

 Morgan worked really hard but made a silly mistake and got out on the word happily. She got 4th place. She got an awesome medal.

 It was an especially sad day for Madalyn, she ate and slept with her words. She knew them forward and backwards. She has a very competitive class, her and Chloe have battled it out every year. The last 2 years they have had to move to the next grades words. Madalyn knew her words and some of the 5th grades also. But she ended up with 4th place cause she missed spelled the word migration. She forgot the a.  She spelled the word to fast and thought she had put it in. I'm so pleased with the girls hard work and dedication to do well in school. They worked really hard.

Big girls first hunting trip to Kettle Falls

 Garrett decided to take Madalyn and Morgan with him on the late hunt to Kettle Falls. Stanley Cox and has 2 boys as went. They left Thursday after Madie's volleyball game, about 7:00pm it takes about 3.5 hours to get there. They decided to get a hotel in stead of tenting it, since they had all the kids with them and it was late in the season. It was a good thing cause Morgan got up in the middle of the night with the flu and threw up a few times.

 Garrett and Stanley both got small deer. The kids thought it was a blast, so I guess we have future hunters on our hands.

 This was this summer. Teaching the girls how to glass for deer.

volleyball

 4th grade you can start to play volleyball, it has been so fun to watch Madalyn play. Her team was undefeated during the season. There were 8 teams in the league this year.

 Madie has gotten so much better since the first game, she has improved so much.

My 1st hair cut

 That's right, she's 3 and this is her first hair cut. Brooklyn has very thin hair it was getting all matted and harder to brush. After she got out of the bath last night I decided we needed to get out the scissors.

 We ended up cutting off 6 inches. I didn't plan on cutting that much off but she didn't want to hold very still so it was hard to get it all even.

 She loves it. She looks so much more like her big sister Morgan with short hair.
