A New beginning for the Jenks Family

The start of January 2014 we made the Big decision to move and Build our house in Connell. We have been praying, fasting, pondering and saving for many years about where the Lord wants our family to be. After Much thought and many sleepless nights we feel like we should build on land over by Connell.
This is the spot our family's home will sit. It has been a very emotional time for me, I will miss living next to my family but this is where we need to be. There is so much opportunity for us. So the start of building beginnings for our family. I hope to be in by Christmas 2014.

There was about 700 feet of cement ditch we had to haul out. It took Garrett and I 3 good days to remove the ditch and haul it out. It was the beginning of many long and hard hours on our new piece of land.

Will you be my date??? "Yellow Brick Road Ball"

On February 7th Garrett asked the girls to their first dress up Dance. With a little help from mom we decorated the girls beds with hearts, valentine's candies, and a balloon and Poem. Asking them out on a date with Dad.

The card said: "Natalie Please join me at "The Yellow Brick Road Father Daughter Ball, Friday February 7 2014 7:00pm Please be my Valentine on this Day Love Dad."

The kids couldn't be more excited to go on their first real date with dad, they had a week to prepare for the Ball.
Garrett had to work at the Fire Station until 5:00pm so I got the girls already and took them to him. They were meeting up with a few other Firefighter and their daughter for a nice dinner before the dance. At the dinner they each got a rose and a Valentines Balloon.
Each one was so excited for the big night. They had a great time learning to dance and enjoyed being spoiled. They got home about 10:00 pm

We they got home they were excited to tell mom all about the night of being a princess.

Game Day

Games have been one of the kids favorite things to do during this cold winter.
This is Brooklyn's favorite puzzle and she does it almost everyday.
The Seattle Seahawks made it to the Superbowl, the girls were big fans this year. They had a Super Bowl party and They Won…..
Blue and Green colors for the Big Game

 Just cheering on the Seahawks.

Horse Lovers

Our neighbors the Pugh's have a few horses that the girls just love to ride.

Brooklyn and Morgan's horse started running and they couldn't stop it and the feel off, it scared them really bad. They both got back on after a little rest.

January in a nutshell

Brooklyn really enjoyed the Winter break, and having the kids home from school. She has to get use to it being just Mom and sometimes Dad to play with at home.
Our family loves Sea food, we had a wonderful crab, salmon and shrimp dinner the other night. Brooklyn loved playing with the legs.

What do we do on Cold Winter days???? Cuddle up and play the iPad.
We did go fishing in the Coulee with Stanley's family. Our kids get along so well.
Our little Brookie got her dream come true, she is Finally in Primary. She loves that she is old enough to go to primary, she was so ready to go. She was hating it for the last 4 months. She just cried wanting to go with the big girls.
BFF Chandler.
Madalyn playing on her kindle. What are you doing on the counter?? that can't be comfortable.
Being silly.
Madalyn is on the 4th grade Math team at Mesa Elm. They had their first Math team competition in Connell. She enjoys being with her friends. Go Mesa!!
