Where did they learn this from????

THEIR DAD.......................

**Garrett was watching Brooklyn the other night so I could clean up the house and I come in and they are both sitting watching T.V. (WHAT A GREAT BABY SITTER)

** Then today Garrett and I are both busy doing things around the house, soon we realize where is Natalie? Garrett went to look for her he comes back and says you got to come see her. We found her sitting going potty playing a game on Garrett's iphone. Who knows how long she was in there. I just laughed Garrett's always playing games in the bathroom.
I knew my kids got all their bad habits from him :)

7 years old

I really can't believe that Madalyn is 7 years old. On Monday we had the family over for her birthday party. Madalyn is such a party girl, she is always asking if people can come over or if she can go over to a friends house. She is growing up in so many ways. I was looking at pictures of her last year at this time getting on the bus and she looks so different. She is loosing her little kid looks.
Garrett and Natalie made her cake this year cause I was sick. She had a picture of a 3 tower blue wedding cake with a heart on top that is what kind she wanted. (We are in trouble she is looking at wedding cakes all ready).

New hat and gloves, and outfit.
She got a soccer ball, black velvet coloring pictures, make up and sticker earrings, winter coat, gloves and hat and a new outfit.
We love you Madalyn, hope you had a great day.

Growing

Our little Brooklyn is growing up so fast, she has now almost doubled her birth weight. She is 2 1/2 months old. She had her well check up last week and at 2 months she was:
23" long (57%) 10.15 Pounds (36%)

She is a BIG mommy's girl, she does ok with Garrett. There are lots of times she just wants her Mommy. She is getting to be an easier baby, well I don't know if easier is the right word but I think I have just come to the conclusion that she has to be held a lot and I'm just not going to get much done. Small tasks take me all day to do. Brooklyn loves to watch her sisters play, she loves any attention they will give her. She loves to give anyone that talks to her a Big smile. She found her hands last week and can't keep them out of her mouth. We love her very much, we just wish she would sleep better at night. Most nights she gets up 2 times and then is up by 6:30 am

We have been having a lot of first around our house. Morgan and Natalie have had their first days of school this past week. Today it was Natalie's turn for a first, she started preschool today. I debated if she should go or if I should just keep her home and then have her do preschool next year cause she will not go to school until Fall of 2012. I have never sent my kids to 2 years of preschool, but because of the 3 year difference between her and Brooklyn she needs someone to play with during the day, plus it's only 1 day a week.

Natalie was very disappointed that she didn't get to take a lunch to school. Yesterday was the first day she was home alone with just mom and Brooklyn. Let's hope she has better days, she followed me around and keep asking me to play with her and when are the girls going to be home from school. It's just so hard Brooklyn demands a lot of my time so she is feeling left out. I hope we can get Brooklyn on a better sleeping schedule so we can spend some time together alone.
I love this picture her backpack is as big as her.

Bikes

Madalyn finally decided that she wanted to learn to ride her bike without training wheels. She turns 7 in a few weeks and she was so excited and determined to ride before she turned 7. On Sunday afternoon Garrett and her went out and within a short time she had it down and was riding all over the house and on the road. We tried so hard last summer to teach her but she would not even try, she was being a chicken. I have not seen her that excited in a long time. Morgan is now trying and has almost got it down.

2 In school

Morgan started kindergarten yesterday, she was very excited to ride the bus with Madalyn. I think that Madie was just as excited, she could not wait to show her around the play ground.

She came home from school very excited about her teacher and all the kids in her class. She has a large class 29 kids. The girls will be starting soccer next week.

Precious Moments

I feel like I have had one of the Lords precious moments. Sometimes I feel like there are special feelings that we get that we know without a doubt that the Lord knows us and the trails we experience in this life. Last night for FHE we did fathers blessings, it's always something to look forward to before the school year. Garrett did father's interviews with each one of the girls. They really loved having a one on one time with Garrett. Madalyn was cute Garrett asked the girls if there was anything they wanted him to bless them with in their blessing, she said she want to have help reading in school and learning to ride her bike. Morgan and Natalie said they didn't need any help. Sometimes it's hard to get one on one time with our kids, we have set a goal to do father's interviews the first FHE of each month. We are hoping to have a better relationship with our kids so they can feel like they can talk to us about anything.
After the kids were all done Garrett gave me a blessing. What a great experience it is the have a worthy husband to do that. I thank my Heavenly Father for him every night. In the blessing he expressed how much my Heavenly Father loved me, that he knows that motherhood is hard and a big sacrifice on my part, that I needed to enjoy motherhood. I can't describe the feelings I had, I could feel the spirit and love of Garrett and my Heavenly Father. It was one of the moments that you think I can do this with the Lords help. Life has been hard for me since Brooklyn's birth. I think it's been so hard cause I was totally out of the baby stage and all the stress and lack of sleep that comes along with that. She is getting to be a better and happier baby but I still can't get much done cause she cries every time we put her down. She is becoming a little ham, she is talking lots and loves to smile at you as long as she can see you.

Back to School

Madalyn went back to school today, she is now a big first grader and thinks she knows it all. It was funny last night I heard her and Morgan talking and she was giving Morgan pointers on were to sit on the bus, what activities to pick at school, where the best desk was in her classroom, what things to have mom pack in her lunch. She knew it all. When I woke her up for school this morning she said "mom I'm kind of nervous", I told her I could take her the first day if she wanted but she said "No I want to ride the bus".
She picked out her own outfit, can you tell her favorite color is purple.
The kindergartners start next week, so Morgan first day is next Tuesday.
