Hunting

I shot this deer in the orchard on the home farm on October 21, 2010. I went up the Kettle Falls for three days previous to shooting this pig. Up at Kettle Falls we saw a lot of deer but nothing worth writing home about or even worth blogging about. Justin called my on Tuesday and said there were a bunch of deer in the orchard and that one of them was really big, he also said he called Duane and that he was going to come and shoot it. I was not to happy and that point so it didn't hurt my feelings any to hear from him a little bit later saying that none of the deer were legal bucks and so Duane didn't pull the trigger on any of them. So anyways I leave Kettle Falls on Wednesday and Thursday morning I go to the home place expecting to see some does and a couple of two points, well I did see those things but much to my surprise I also found this buck laying in the middle of the row about 30 yards down from the road. I stopped to get a better look at him and it didn't take long for me to decide that I was going to shoot this deer. One shot and the deer was down, he is a very big bodied deer and his rack has a lot of mass to it. As you can see at some point in his journey his one side stopped growing or he broke it off somewhere, but he is still a great buck. Natalie was my hunting partner for the day she did great and helped my spot out every deer, she actually saw this one before I did. Afterwards we gave each other high fives and celebrated a bit. The other girls were pretty mad when they found out that Natalie got to go hunting with me and they had to go to school. I would like to thank the farm workers for not poaching this and the other deer. Good job Natalie.

She did it, Brooklyn rolled over. She will be 4 months on the 26th. I was really surprised she has not even been trying too. I put her on the floor to play I was the only one home so I know she didn't get help, I turned around and she was on her tummy. I love it at this stage they are really starting to change in so many ways.

Glasses

Morgan got her glasses on Tuesday, what a big change for her. She looks so different. She is loving them.

We never knew that she couldn't see until we went to her 5 year well check and they checked her eyes and said that she needed to go see an eye doctor. With our insurance we don't have vision so I tried to find a cheep place to take her. I made an appointment with Costco and after the visit we realized that she has multiple problems so they sent us to a specialist. So here she is sporting her new look. I hope we can get her seeing well again.

Field Trip

Last week was Morgan's first Kindergarten field trip, they went to the country mercantile and the field of dreams park. They had such a great time. At the mercantile they went on a hay ride and picked out a pumpkin, went through the straw mazes, climbed the hay pyramid, and saw the animals.

Morgan was excited to have Natalie there and be the big sister in charge of her.
I was able to attend the field trip with Morgan. I had Brooklyn and Natalie with me. We were told by the teacher that they would be there at 10:30 so we got there 15 mins. early. When we arrived the kids were already there and when I started talking to Morgan she said that they had already done most of the things, come to find out they got there 45 mins. early and started without us. I was a little mad, Morgan was disappointed that we missed most of it. I felt bad, she was looking forward to us being there. I was talking to one of the other mom's that rode the bus with the kids and she said Morgan keep saying "my mom said she was coming where is she".
The kids thought it was great to see Santa's reindeer, he was not a friendly reindeer at all. You could tell he wanted to go back to the North Pole :)

Morgan picked out a great pumpkin. She had a great time. She is getting so grown up.

On the move

Brooklyn is growing up so fast, she is almost 4 months old. She loves to be on the move, exploring the house with Big sister Natalie. The girls are just loving being able to have a little more freedom with her. I now let Madalyn walk around the house with her and they all love taking her to the playroom to play with her. Madalyn is especially good with her, she is such a big helper. She loves taking her and sing and playing with her. Thank goodness cause I need all the help I can get.
She is so sweet how can you not love this little girl.

A new look

I went on Monday to get my hair done. I got rid of all the blonde, it took a lot of convincing by Garrett to do something different. I always come home from getting my hair done and Garrett says I can't tell you did anything. I have always been a blonde I have never had brown hair so I'll give it a try. I also cut it short.

The BIG 30

I can't believe it, last week I turned 30. Happy Birthday to me!!!
I have been dreading this day for about a year now, last year this time I remember thinking I can't believe that I will be 30 in just one year. Man that year went fast. My birthday was last Tuesday the 5Th, Garrett was fishing with his brothers on that day so we went out on Wednesday. Sunday night Garrett was telling the girls that he was just going to take me to town and have me pick out my presents. Madalyn was so sad that he had not bought anything for them to give me so after lots of convincing she had him take the girls to town Monday after they got home from school to buy mom a present. They got me a beautiful necklace and two shirts. On Wednesday my mom was nice enough to watch the kids so we went out. What a nice relaxing day in Tri-Cites it was. Thanks Garrett. Then on Saturday my mom called (that morning) and asked if we wanted to come down and play games that night so we went down there and SURPRISE!!! Garrett and my sister Emily had planned a surprise 30th birthday party for me. I had no clue. It was fun to get together with family and friends. Thanks everyone for making the day great.

Soccer Season

Soccer season started the middle of September both Madalyn and Morgan are playing. They both have enjoyed it. Madie has improved so much since last year. She really goes after the ball. It has been great to see them play. Garrett has been able to attend most of their game which has been nice.
GO TEAM!!! The Mesa "Shooting Stars"
