Morgan's field trip

Morgan and Krista
April 20 the First Grade class went to the Police station, Fire Department, and had lunch at the park. Morgan had been looking forward to this for months, she knew she got to take her class to see her dad at work.

These two little ones got to go along with me for the day of fun with the first day kids.
The kids favorite spot was the Fire Station. The kids enjoyed learning about fire safety, going into the trucks, and seeing all the fun tools fire fighters get to use. It was fun for Morgan and her class.

Tucannon Trip

This last weekend we took the kids out of school on Friday and headed to Tucannon for the night. When Garrett got home from work Friday morning we hooked up my parents camper and we left. The weather was a little cold (55-60) but not to bad, at least it didn't rain.
The kids were very excited to go fishing, and to be able to practice casting off the bank. By the end of the trip they got really good.
Brooklyn loved playing in the tackle box, it made me nervous with all the hooks. She loved it though. Brooklyn was also battling a head cold so she was not as fun as normal. She liked the fish but when the kids caught one and rilled it in she would not touch it. She said "GROSS"
Garrett spent most of his time undoing line, taking off fish and rebaiting the hooks. I spent most of my time watching Brooklyn to make sure she didn't fall in the water, and keep the food coming for everyone to eat.
On Friday we first went to Rainbow Lake, caught 14 fish there. Then went back had dinner and then went to Blue Lake caught 5. Then on Saturday we tried to go to Curl Lake cause it was opening day for that Lake so the fishing was going to be good. We got there at 7:30 am and it was so packed, no room for a family of 6. We decided to move on to another less crowded Lake caught 7 and last stop before heading home was back to Rainbow for 6. Trips total over 30 fish. Garrett and I wanted to throw them back after we caught them, the kids wouldn't let us.

Our campsite, It was so nice to be able to take my parents travel trailer. It makes everything more enjoyable with kids. The kids made friends with the family of all girls camping next to us, they even had the same ages of kids. That was fun for them.
We LOVE smores!!!!!

Natalie enjoyed finding lost treasures just as much as fishing. Can't wait to go back again.

Morgan's New Look

Morgan got new glasses at the beginning of April. She picked out Pink and Brown this time. She looks very cute.
In late Feburay early March Morgan started complaining all the time that her head hurts, that she had headaches. After weeks of it not going away we took her to the eye dr. to see if it was her eyes. Morgan has a few different problem with her eyes. We found out she now needs prism. They also up her prescription. So we had to get new glasses for her. Since she is under 18 and has such a big prescription we have to buy the glasses at the eye dr. office. $400 they were and we have no vision insurance. I was not that happy, let hope this helps all the head problems.

Silly BFF

These two have become the best of friends. Brookie will be sad in September when Natalie goes to school

"It's broken"

This pictures shows Brooklyn before nap times. She loves her pacifiers  She always has to have two, one in the mouth and the other in her hand. When she wants them she says "TWO, TWO please". It's very cute. We have gone one week without them. Last Monday I decided that Today was the day, I was going to take them that day. She was asking for them more and more, plus she has almost all her teeth in so it was time to say Bye, Bye.
I cut the end off just like I did with all the rest of the girls and told her it was "BROKEN". The look she gave me said it all, her face just melted and she started to cry. We then we said put it in the garbage. She walked over and put it in. She keep walking back all day long and looking at it and saying "TWO".
She has been my hardest to break. Nap times and bedtimes are hard. Once she is asleep then it's not to bad it's just getting her to sleep that takes a long time. It takes me about 40 minutes to put her to bed. She just cries, she wants to be rocked to bed now. It's bad I'm breaking one bad habit and starting another one. But she shares a bed with Madalyn and she can't sleep with Brooklyn crying all night long. It's been hard Garrett has not been home to much to help, lost of overtime and teaching CPR classes. One week down I hope this week gets a little easier for me and her.

Utah

The first of March I was able to go on a fun trip with my mom and Emily down to see Sarah at BYU. We need to make more girls time, this was the first trip we have gone on with just me, my sisters and mom. Talk about fun. The above picture is the whole reason we went down there. We left Thursday and came home Sunday. Quick trip, but without kids it wasn't too bad. Sarah tried on about 30-40dresses. Emily and I instantly fell in love with the dress she ended up choosing, but we had to keep our mouth shut as she made her final decisions. She will be a GORGEOUS bride!

We were on a very tight schedule doing ALL things wedding! We had to try and get bridesmaids dresses, kids clothes, colors and flowers figured out, engagement pics outfits and boy was it stressful. So much shopping for nothing I wanted really wore me out. lol. Emily and I did manage to have fun along the way. It was fun to laugh and laugh.
Emily wanted to get implants while in UT and said she was going this big...luckily I talked her outta it;) hahahahah. totally kidding. This bra was so big, it fit on my head as a hat. Funny!!!
My mom spoiled all of us while we were gone. We ate at some great places. This was my favorite restaurant: TUCANOS. The food was amazing. All you can eat buffet, with some of the best meats. It's was a wonderful but fast trip. Thanks to my great husband for staying home all four day with the girls. He did great, in fact Brooklyn would not come to be on Sunday when I got home. It took a few days for her to get use to me again. She acted like I  had been gone for months. SAD!!!

Easter Sunday

Easter this year was low key for our family. We had the egg hunt the week before at my mom's house cause she was going to be gone. We went to Vard's house on Friday for a wonderful BBQ and the Jenks annual egg hunt. Brooklyn found the golden egg with $5.00 in it, Madalyn found $2.65, Morgan $2.00, and Natalie found .50
The girls got to pick out their own Easter dresses this year, this was the first year I did this. I think it's alot easier for me to go by myself and pick them out. But it's also nice to see the one's that fit their personality.
Madalyn 8, Morgan 6, Natalie 4, Brooklyn 21 months
On Sunday we had Justin and Heather out to our house for Lunch, Garrett cooked a fabulous prime Rib dinner. The kids just had a blast playing outside with the cousins. The kids found 4 rabbits.  They were able to catch one and play with it for a couple of hours (poor rabbit he was trying to get away so bad) after Justin and Heather left we decided to let "Rascal"(that's what they named him) go.

We found the "Easter Bunnies Babies"

Potty Mommy Potty.......

Brooklyn has decided that she wants to be a big kid and use the potty chair. She loves underwear, she is always going to get Natalie's and putting them on over her pants. Last week she woke up that morning and would not let me put a diaper on her she wanted Dora underwear.  We were staying home that day so she wore underwear that day. She did really well, she even went poop in her little chair. We did have a few wet pairs of underwear, she doesn't seem to know how to hold the pee. She thought that was great when she got a candy for going poop. She had to show everyone. We have since then gone back to diapers, she loves the idea of a diaper but i don't think she totally ready yet. In three months she turns 2 we will wait a little longer. I can see an end in sight, almost done with diaper........after 8 years.

Grandma's Egg hunt

This looks like one HAPPY girl.
We had an early Easter egg hunt at Grandma McGary's house last Sunday after the first session of General Conference. My parents are going to be down visiting Sarah over Easter Sunday so we had everyone over for an pre Easter party.
As you can tell there were lots of eggs for the kids to find, Natalie got the most by far. We throw candy all over the grass, that is where Natalie mainly stayed. All of the kids baskets were over flowing with candy. They were very excited
Brooklyn did great, Garrett went with her and she knew just what to do. She was very protective of her basket, she didn't want anyone taking her candy.

Morgan was very picky about what candy she picked up, if she didn't like the candy she didn't worry about picking it up. She told me she was looking for the eggs with money in them. As a result she didn't get as much but was totally fine with that.

The Hunt is on............
