On Monday the 19
th ( Martin Luther King Day) Garrett went with Jr. Rodriguez and a few other friends goose hunting. As you can tell they did very well. They limited out in just 2 hours. 30 plus geese.
Garrett loves to hunt, I don't know why anyone would like to get up at 5:30 am to go hunting.
Garrett is the one in the brown coveralls, he says he stands out and looks out of place without all the
camo gear.
Sportsmans was giving all the Firefighters a 20% off everything discount so he went and got some warm
camo gear. He has been wanting some new hunting gear for a while so he took advantage of the sale. We were in the store for almost 2 hours and I finally had to say we have to go the kids are getting tried. He could have stayed all day long. (And he says I'm bad at how long I'm in a store)

I think it is pretty funny that they are standing with the dead ducks in front, with the lucky ones walking behind, alive and well!!!
I also think its pretty funny that they posed and everything! Its funny when guys want to do something like taking a picture with geese, its all good, but trying to get them to take family pics?? haha right... Im gld they had a great time!
very nice! You will be eating goose for a while. I agree with Alise why is it so easy to get the to pose with their kill but refuse to attempt family pictures. Good job Garrett.
all the women with their comments on this blog are hilarious, Those are not live geese in the background those are the decoys. And as for the pics it cause we look cool when we are dressed in camo with dead animals, it makes us feel macho, unlike we feel in matching sweaters tryin to smile when really were wishing we were hunting.
The whole point of getting a large number of birds is so that you can take an impressive picture and show it off to your friends for the rest of your life. J/K. Way to go Garrett! We missed you guys tonight. Connell came to Royal. I should have called and had you come for dinner. I'm so sorry! I just don't plan ahead very well. Let's do something soon.
