I told Garrett we had to get at least one picture of us playing the slot machines. When we checked into our Resort they gave us a card with $40 on the card to go gamble. So we said "Why not were not losing any money, plus you can't go to Vegas and not play any game". We played the penny, nickle and quarter slots. Garrett won back $8 It was amazing to us how fast the $40 went. It's also so sad to see how much money people waste there.
Planet Hollywood was a great place to eat. That was one of the best things about the trip was all the good food we ate. We brought things to eat for breakfast then we would eat about 12 or 1 at somewhere nice, if we were hungry by dinner we would find somewhere else and eat.
Vegas is great, we loved walking all around there is so much to see. You really don't feel like your in the United States in some of the Hotels-Casinos. It just amazed us how you can go into one Hotel and spend 3-4 hours just walking around shopping, site seeing and just enjoying the beautiful art work. We walked everywhere, one day we walked 9 miles. CRAZY
We thought the kids would enjoy this picture, they love horses. We actually were shocked at how many kids we saw and how many different languages we heard.
2012 is the year of the Dragon for the Chinese Calendar, so you see a lot of decorations surrounding that theme. This is in the Wynn one of my favorite Hotels.
Tall horse at the Bellagio
Wynn
New York- New York we felt as though we were in that part of the United States. They had a roller coaster going through the hotel and outside also.
The Roller Coaster.
This was made of jelly beans.
The M&M store was wonderful, our kids would have loved this store. There were 3 levels to the store. I have never seen so many different kinds and colors of M&M's.
This wrapped all the way around the store. Morgan would have thought she died and go to heaven. She's my Candy Monster.
On the strip it looks so different from day to night. I loved both, but at night it looks so beautiful with all the lights. The Wynn was one of the tallest buildings there. Garrett and I decided it would not be fun putting out a Fire on the 42 Floor. All the building are so close together I don't know where they would park the Fire Truck.
Garrett was disappointed that Garth Brooks was not there when we were. His first show started the day we flew out. I was happy his tickets are $250 each. I know we would have gone, saved me $500. So we had to get a picture of him and that will have to do.
"Le Reve The Dream" we went to on Sunday night. I can't say enough GOOD things about it. If you are ever in Vegas it's a must see. It's a little costly but worth every penny. I was so glad we pick this one to see. This describes it Best "LE RÊVE - THE DREAM, presented exclusively at Wynn Las Vegas, offers breathtaking performances in an intimate aqua theater-in-the-round. The show features aerial acrobatics, provocative choreography and artistic artistry. The cast of 93 captures the imagination with daring feats of strength and agility. Live music and special effects immerse the audience into a world of fantasy, adventure and intrigue.
Do we look like we miss Home?????
Le Reve after the show.
We went to see two movies "Mission Impossible" and "Man on a ledge" both great movies.
Everyone that we talking to told us to try the buffets. They said they were great. On Day 2 we went to a buffet and were not that impressed but it was a cheaper one. On Day 5 we decided to try the buffet at the Wynn it was costly but voted #1 of the year. WOW!!!!! was it good and fancy. This was MINE (not Garrett's) dessert plate. There were so many different things there to try. We were so full coming out of that place.
The Wynn Buffet tables, everything is so nicely decorated. They had vegs and fruit mixed in with their flowers. The Venetian was one of Garrett's favorites, you feel like your in Rome. The Bellagio Fountains were great to see at night.
This is the older part of the strip. We still had a great time, it had so many games to play. You felt like you were at the fair.
Garrett won Brooklyn a stuffed BEE from the movie.
Garrett fulfilled one of his life long dreams........ to see Phantom of the Opera in Vegas. I really didn't know what to expect, but we both loved it. Phantom is the longest running Broadway show in history. From the moment you enter the magnificent $40 million custom-built theatre, you are in the storied Paris Opera House and part of The Phantom's world and all its signature songs, lyrics, costumes, and more. With spectacular sets, new illusions and a breathtaking chandelier experience unlike anything you have ever seen
Garrett wants this new toy, Treasure Island
This was outside our Resort, we stayed at The Grandview at Las Vegas. It was so nice full kitchen, washer/ dryer. It's always a nicer trip when you stay somewhere nice. We enjoyed laying out by the pool one day, the weather was 70 we thought we had hit a heat wave compared to what we have at home. The rest of the trip the weather was mostly in the mid 60's. Another favorite was sleeping in, most day we didn't leave our place until 10-11. It was a nice relaxing trip.
The kids stayed with my parents and we can't Thank them enough. Taking on four kids for a week is hard, especially when you have to get them on the bus and do homework. The girls loved every minute of the week. The day after we got home Natalie said to me "Mom I don't miss you anymore can I go back to Grandma's house". I told her, "No, Grandma needs a break" she said, "A break from what mom?" FUNNY!!! I guess we are replaceable, things are always better at grandma's house. It was cute.
Overall we LOVED Vegas!!! Ya, there are down sides to the Casinos but we just stayed away from the area. There is so much to see and enjoy down there. Vegas is one of those place that you will probably only go to once or twice. But while we were there we really enjoyed the entertainment.

Looks like fun!! I always was in such shock at all the little old ladies that sit and gamble and smoke ALL DAY LONG...crazy!!
How fun. Looks like you made the most of it. Yes the buffets are great but you have to go to the ones that cost a little more. The buildings are great and the night lights are amazing for sure. Glad you were able to go and have a good time. Thank you Jan and Lane for tending the kids for them. Thanks for sharing.
