Swim Lessons

Madalyn got brave and jumped off the diving board all by herself and swims in the deep end.

Madalyn and Morgan took swim lessons from my cousins Katlian and Kortneigh Eppich. They are on their 2 week and have improved so much in the past few weeks. They both love the water. (Morgan would like it a little warmer water) Madie is like a fish, she loves to dive for things and is swimming everywhere on her own.

Here is little Morgan at swim lessons. When we first started taking them she would just hang onto the girls necks and didn't want to swim but as time went by she got into the water, and was enjoying learning to swim without a life jacket.

Finally we go out!!!

Garrett and I had a chance to go out last night, we have not had a date in a long time. We went with Emily and Brock to the new Batman Movie that came out yesterday then to dinner. The movie was great we all loved it, but prepare yourself it is 3 hours long.
Natalie in getting tubes in Monday morning, i really hope everything goes well. i'm starting to get nervous, i really don't like them having to put her out to do it. We are praying this will help with all the ear problems she has.
I'm having trouble with the blog background so i hope to have time to fix it later.

Sick Kids AGAIN

Last week was not the best week for our family, Natalie got sick on Monday. I thought that it was just her teething, but by thursday she was really bad so we took her to the doctor and another ear infection. She has these all the time, we are going to get tubes put in this next week. Then on Saturday Morgan was running a temp. of 103 so i ended up taking her to the ER that night, (she had an ear infection also) when i got home and finally got everyone to bed i tried to review my R.S. lesson for Sunday. i got a new calling and it was my first sunday teaching. Then Madalyn woke up around 1 am with a temp. and now she was sick. How come kids can't get sick all at once and so we only have to make one trip to the doctor. I guess they love to make it hard on mom's. Oh ya i didn't tell you that garrett was at work on Saturday when all this was going on. I only got 2 hours of sleep that night and then had to go teach a lesson, i was so sleepy the next day. The kids are feeling alot better and even Natalie is starting to walk and has two new teeth starting to come in. I love having Healthy kids again.

The 4th of July

The most important thing to remember was what happened on the 5th of July. Garrett's dad was killed on that day. This day is always hard around our home. Garrett is never himself on that day. John was such a great man and father, i offen wonder what he would have been like as a grandpa for my kids. I'm sure the girls would have just loved him. Madie often asks lots of questions about him, and what he was like. I told her one time grandpa Jenks was alot like your dad. I see so much of John in Garrett. We love and miss you Grandpa Jenks. We can't wait for the day we can see you again.

Hair Cuts & Lazy Days

Last week I took the girls to get their hair cut. Madalyn has been asking me for 2 months now if she can cut her hair short. I really didn't know what I would think of her with short hair but she looks really cute. Morgan didn't know if she wanted to even cut her hair, she loves it long. She says your not a true princess without long hair. We did cut 3 inches off and she still loves it.

Morgan had a hard day last week. We had been working outside all day in the yard, the girls played so hard that day (swimming, riding bikes, dress up). The sun just takes it out of you. We were sitting at dinner and she almost fell asleep saying the prayer and then the next thing i know she is asleep with food in her mouth. This really doesn't happen around our house. She is one that needs a nap every day.

Fishing= Family Fun

On Thursday Garrett had the day off so we decided to take the girls out in the boat and go fishing. Garrett has put in alot of overtime hours over the past 2 weeks, ( 70 hours ) it has been hard but the check is sure nice. We are so grateful for him he works hard so we can have nice things.

Since garrett and i have been married i have really learned to love fishing, i didn't grow up doing this. Our family enjoyed watersking and tube rides. This boat is garrett's best friends stanley cox's boat and since he is in dental school in AZ. and will not be using it he give it to us. It was about 90 that day so very hot. Here is Madalyn, this is her first fish this year. The girls could not understand why it took so long for the fish to bite the bate when they could see fish on the fish finder. We had a great time, next time i think i will leave Natalie with someone she was too hard to take. That way i can fish also. I did get a really nice sun burn on my legs. We caught 3 fish, the big one was not good to eat. The kids thought it was great though.

Have a safe summer everyone!!!

Last week the girls and I went to Karens (sister in laws house) for a few days, we had such a great time. The girls have lots of cousins around their ages so it was so much fun for them to be able to play with them. They all played so hard by night time my kids were worn out. Karen just got her pool done so that was great for the kids, especially when it was hot. We did have a really scary thing happen to us. We were heading outside to go swimming with the kids; the girls life jackets were outside so i had not put them on. Madie and Morgan went outside and i was still in the house trying to get Natalie ready. In their pool they have a small waiting area it's only a foot deep and Morgan can touch, so she got in thinking she had her life jacket already on. Next thing i know is that Morgan had to be pulled out of the water by Maren. It really scared Morgan and Me, so please be careful everyone. I realized i have got to watch my kids better and it only takes one second for something bad to happen.

Madalyn's Dance Performance

Well dance is finally over, we really enjoyed going to dance this past year but towards the end it was getting harder and harder to get madie to dance. The class was 45 minutes away in Richland. You should have seen madalyn last saturday the day of the performance she was so excited and very proud of herself. We had gotten her flowers for when she was done she just loved them, after we gave her the flowers she said "Good now i can get married" this girl is wanting to get married already. She talks about it all the time, we are in trouble. After the dance we went and saw the kong fu panda show it was great the girls loved it. It was a very nice day to be together as a family.

Madalyn and her cousin Taylor Bennett. These two girls loved being together every tuesday for dance, it's a good thing they will not be going to the same schools they would get into much trouble. They love to talk.

Happy Fathers Day Garrett!!!!!
I wanted to post something about fathers day, but the girls and i left monday morning to go to my sister in laws house near bosie for a few day. Yes we left garrett at home but he was going to be working for the next four days in a row so i really didin't want to stay at home by ourselves.Mary come with us also. For fathers day we had a great time, we took breakfast to garrett in bed, then went to church then headed to my mom's house for dinner. we love our dad and grandpa very much. i have a picture of garrett and the girls with breakast in bed at home.
