The school is small 3 boys and 3 girls, we love it!!!!!
She was excited to get her cowgirl clothes on. Morgan really wanted to go to school today. It just looked to much fun.
Her girlfriends Jill, and Kianna
This is outside the preschool teachers house, she had the yard dressed up great. The best I have ever seen. A dead bride, ghosts, witches, vampires, the kids loved it after they found out it was not real.

Be Prepared

Our family now has our 1 year food storage

This is our storage room outside in our garage. For the past year I have really wanted to get all the food storage done and not have to worry about that part of BEING PREPARED. But it is really no fun buying food, there is alot funnier ways to spend your money. We decided that this would be money well spent, plus the more kids you get the more you worry about feeding them in an emergency, you can't bum off your parents anymore. So about 2 weeks ago we really started to find out what a family of 5 needed for one year. We already had our 72 hour kits done so we just went through them and made sure everything was still good and worked. I thought I already had alot of food storage done, but once you go through everything and find out what you really need we had a lot to do. Trenton and Maren gave us some great web sites to check out and that really help out alot, thanks guys. We had some buckets so we went to Costco and bought some things, order a hand wheat grinder and a few more things like powdered eggs, cheese and butter. Garrett went to the Church's Canning Store and did the rest yesterday. We as a family feel a little more prepare, and feel a little better about obeying some advice the prophets have told us to do.

FHE & Prayers really work

First Off: Monday night for FHE we decided to carve pumpkins, we had a great time. Madie wanted a scary face and Morgan wanted a fun face and Natalie just wanted to hold her little one.

We took the pumpkins outside and put candles in them, we can't wait for Halloween. The kids are going to be cow girls.
Now to the Prayers are really answered: everyday we pray for our families protection, Monday was a day that our family was truly watched over. It was after lunch, Natalie loves to go outside and it's sometimes really hard to keep her happy in the house. Garrett and I were in the kitchen talking and outside our sliding glass door we have a small porch then a large cement patio where the kids ride there bikes. We opened the door and let Natalie play with the dog on the porch, we were standing right there, and could see her. Then no more then a few seconds go by and she is not on the porch anymore, Garrett runs outside to check on her and she is in the middle of the road. She had followed the dog. Now we don't live in town where kids play in the road and the traffic is slow. The raod by our house is 55 mph and lots of trucks are going by our house because of harvest time. We could have lost her so easy that day, it makes me cry when ever i think about it. We were truly watch over that day and given a wake up call, the kids can no longer go outside by themselves. Our Heavenly Father Watches over us.

5 Year Pictures

On Thursday Madalyn had her 5 year pictures taken at Sears. She was really excited to have them done, she picked out what she wanted to wear and how she wanted her hair done. The older she gets the more control she wants to have, she knows what she likes.
She looks like a little princess, she is growing up so fast.

Madalyn is growing up so fast and can't wait to go to school. She just learned her phone number and is now learning her address. She loves friends, new clothes, riding her bike or grandpa's four wheeler, horses, make-up, cell phones, spending the night at grandmas house, and playing house with her sisters (she tells me all the time they need a brother to be the dad when they play house). Man they grow up to fast. Anyways........thought you would enjoy seeing our princess Madalyn

Family Fun

Happy Halloween Everyone!!!! We had a great time last night. Emily called and said that Brock went hunting and Garrett was at work, so she was going to come over. It's was Party Time with all the girls.

Emily's birthday is Halloween the 31st, so we always have lots of fun during this time of year with decorations and food. Emily had made cupcakes and we frosted and decorated them last night. With kids it's always really messy, but the kids loved trying to make spiders, mummies and pumpkins. We love spending time with Aunt Emmy, Morgan said this morning when she woke up" we always make fun things with emily, can she come back tonight" (last year they made a gingerbread house together)

Our trip & Being Sick

I have not posted anything in the past few days, I have been sick for the past 2 weeks with an enter ear infection. I have not been feeling very good and so I went to the Doctor and they put me on amoxicillin for 10 days and i'm still tring to fight it.

Here are a few pictures at Karena's house near Boise, the kids swam non stop. The pool was heated to 90 so it made it nice to swim. The kids were so tired at night they crashed.

Silly little Natalie, she loved wearing the swimming glasses.
Garrett returned home from his hunting trip on Monday night. They came home one day early because it was so wet and cold up there. They saw lots of deer but he didn't get one, 2 of the men up there shot 2 points. Garrett is now hunting around here as i'm writing this, today is the last day to hunt for him. Lets hope he gets one so we can end deer hunting for the season.

My day off

Today was my day to celebrate. My birthday is on Sunday the 5th and Garrett will be off hunting in kettle falls Id. The girls and i will be going to bosie to visit family for the weekend. So what did Garrett do................ Surprised me with the day off and shopping with him. He found a babysitter for the girls and told me to be ready wednesday morning at 9:00. It was great; finding a babysitter during the day is half the battle. We spent all day in tri-cities. He had not bought anything for my birthday so he told me to buy whatever i wanted to, so I did. I came home with 3 new shirts, a pair of pants, new shoes and a flower arrangment for the house. He did have to do a liitle bit of shopping for the hunting trip but other than that it was all about ME. Which is great for Garrett he is not a big shopper. Thanks alot Garrett it was great 28th birthday.

Fall is in the Air

These past few mornings when i have gotten out of bed you could feel that fall has come. And I HATE IT!!! I am totally a summer person. i love everything about the summer: the hot weather, shorts and sandals, swimming, yard work, boating, and not getting dark early. So I am kicking and screaming going into this next season, plus it seems like summer just started. Garrett on the other hand loves this time of year. HUNTING SEASON STARTS!!! He is going on thursday with 6 other crazy friends to hunt for 6 days. I think the girls and i are going to Bosie to my sister in laws house to visit for the weekend. The kids are always asking to go see Jace and Ivey. One good thing about the fall is the season for T.V. shows start back up, and i have to say I really do love hot chocolate on a cold day.

Happy Birthday Madalyn !!!!

Madalyn turned 5 years old yesterday, she was very excited for this day to come she has been asking when is my birthday? She knew that summer is almost over and then that means it's her birthday.

She loves strawberry shortcake, so we had to make her a cake with her on it. When she saw it she was very surprised and very happy.

This was at her birthday party that night. We had all the family over. We are lucky to have lots of family around. We had a madie's grandparents, great grandparents, aunts uncles and cousins.
We started the morning by opening gifts from us, she was awake by 6:30am. She got roller skates, finger paints, a new coat, and some beads to make things, and color books.
morgan just could not wait she wanted to help open gifts really bad.

The roller skates were a big hit, she wears them all over the house. She is getting better. I hope we don't end up with a broken arm.
Madalyn with all her gifts from us. Grandma McGary(my mom) took her to town to lunch and shopping, she had so much fun. She talked all about her day in town when she got home. She was nice enough to let Morgan tag along with them. As i look back over the years i am amazed at how much joy Madalyn has brought to our family. It seems like just yesterday we brought her home from the hospital, she was such a hard baby but she has really changed. Madalyn you have become my big helper over the past year. I love you very much and love all the happiness you bring to the family. I love seeing your desire to do what is right, your testimony is growing everday. You are a great example to your parents, and are helping us to being forever family.

oh a fishing we will go......

We are back from our fishing trip to rufus woods, we left on thursday and got back home late saturday night. We decided to rent a cabin up there and not camp. It was so nice to have that and not worry about cooking over a camp fire. Plus it was really hot up their and the kids would have been so hot in the tent. Chad and Jande came up for 2 of the days, that made it nice to have them up their. The fishing was great, we caught 30 fish. We could have had alot more but with kids we had to take lots of breaks and do other things.
This is the view from our cabin, it was really pretty.
This was the last fish we caught before coming home, we caught these in the last 2 hours.
Coming home in the dark, we fished on the boat the whole time. It worked out great.
The girls loved the fish, they really enjoyed the camp fire and smores. Garrett was in heaven with all the fish we caught, this was the most fish i had ever caught in one weekend.
Madalyn and Natalie enjoying some time off the boat at the cabin.
kyla and morgan are great friends and love being silly together.
Natalie loved that she could get in and out of her own chair
We loved spending time together as a family. We came home with lots of great fish to eat, and lots of great memories.
