All Smiles

Brooklyn started smiling on Tuesday Aug. 10th. I was so happy that she smiled at me first. I was getting her out of her car seat and she smiled at me. Since that day she had been smiling and cooing lots. Brooklyn is 6 weeks old. She still wants to be held all day long so we don't get much done.

Brooklyn's Blessing Day

Brooklyn was blessed on Sunday August 8th 2010 in Basin City LDS church by her dad Garrett Jenks. He gave a great blessing, we were able to have lots of family there to support us. Thanks a lot. People that stood in the circle: Garrett, Lane, Chad, Jason, Brock, Justin, Trenton, Elden, Don.
Our little angle on her big day, we are truly blessed to have Brooklyn join our family. We love her very much.
We tried to take a few pictures before church. She decided that she was not going to be good, she cried in all of the shots so we didn't get to many good pictures.

What a special Day for our family.

Eppich Reunion

The last week in July is always the Wayne Eppich family Reunion up at Priest Lake. This is one of our families favorite places to vacation. It is just so beautiful and relaxing. Morgan, Garrett and Natalie riding the tube.
Madalyn, Karigan, Alexis. Morgan is waiting for a turn on the jet ski

This year was not as relaxing as most years. Before going to the cabin our family got the head cold, Brooklyn was still sick when we went to the cabin. We left on Saturday the 24th of July to head to the cabin and Sunday early morning me, Madalyn and Morgan all woke up with the flu. It was really bad, it just hits you and then you were really sick for about 24-48 hours. We were hoping that no one else would get it but we were really wrong. Each day a few others would get sick and no matter how much we cleaned and tried to prevent the spread there was no stopping it. By the end of the week we counted 18 people had the flu. It was not fun.

Bryant, Sarah and Madalyn showing off how high they can get someone.

It's hard taking a newborn on vacation, especially when she is sick.
Karigan braided the girls hair. Morgan, Taylor, Madie, Natalie and Ella

One of the days we were sick.

Go faster Dad!!!

Swim Lessons

Last week the kids had swim lessons, the weather was not one of the warmest weeks for us. It would have been nice to have hotter weather.
Morgan learning how to dive, it's so cute to see her dive.
This was Natalie's first year with swim lessons. She loved it the first day and then she got sick with an ear infection so she didn't want to swim by the end of the week.

I took Brooklyn into the Dr. office when she was 10 days old. Her weight was 7 pounds 7 oz. so I was glad she was gaining weight. Her length was 20 inches long, either she is a fast grower or they measured her wrong at birth. They told us she was 18 inches at birth, they must have measured her wrong. She has been really fussy the last week, I knew it was to good to be true on enjoying the baby stage.

The 4th of July

Brooklyn one week old, enjoying her first holiday. All dressed in Red, White and Blue
For the 4th of July we attended the Basin City Parade, we really enjoy going to the parade every year. The kids always enjoy all the candy that is thrown.
We had a BBQ at my mom's after the parade, we did a few sparklers after lunch. We planned on doing more fireworks that night but Natalie got the flu. She has had the flu for the past 4 days, it is a bad one, we only hope no one else gets it especially Brooklyn.
Grandma with Morgan, Kyla, Wyatt and Madalyn waiting for the parade to start.
Standing in front of the fire trucks. This year there were over 75 Fire trucks that came in honor of Chet the fire chief from Basin City that diedfew days before the 4th while fighting a grass fire near by. When something like that happens it just reminds me of how dangerous Garrett's job is.

It's hard being a BIG sister, Natalie loves to help out with Brooklyn. She wakes up early in the morning comes into our room and wants to hold her.

we are enjoying Brooklyn, I went to check on Brooklyn the other day and found her with a note on top of her from Madalyn this is what it said "Mom I'm glad you had your baby and Brooklyn you are so cute". What a nice sister. Thanks Madie
