Memorial Day 2008

On Monday we went to garrett's dad's grave for memorial day. (for those that don't know his dad was killed in a car wreck when garrett was 18) We go every year and visit. Here are a few pictures of the girls and garrett cleaning off the head stone of John's grave. His sister also died when she was 10 years old, she was born before garrett was born. We enjoy this time every year where we get together and honor him, i'm so grateful for John, everyone says garrett is so much like him. He taught Garrett some of the most valuable lesson in life and Garrett truly misses him, especially when it's time to make big discisions (when he needs some advice). The sunday night we told the girls what we were doing the next day, going to see grandpa's grave and it was hard for them to understand. They thought we were driving to heaven to visit him there. I love kids minds, they are so sweet.
Trenton and Maren were able to come up for the weekend and we really enjoyed playing games until 12:00pm we stayed at Marys so we could play games when the kids went to bed. Thanks for the great time guys. Garrett and i also got the chance to go Saturday to the Carrie Underwoon concert, it was the first concert that we had been to beside the ones the radio puts on, it was just nice to get away and enjoy some alone time. Thanks Emily and Brock for watching the kids.

A great weekend

The girls enjoying a day at the park, while the family is playing softball the girls enjoy some suckers and play ball. Thanks to the everyone for the great day we always enjoy seeing the extended family.

Happy Birthday Natalie, Morgan, Garrett

Morgan turned 3 years old on the 19th, she is our tiny girl she only weights 25 pounds, and can still fit into 18-24 months pants. It is crazy!!! She loved her birthday and wants to know how many days until she can have another one. She wanted a strawberry shortcake cake for her birthday cake she loves PINK.... so I decided to make her that cake it turned out better than i thought it would. For her birthday we had family over on sunday the day before her birthday to open gifts and do all three birthdays ( natalie, morgan, and Garrett). It was great, i really try to make their day extra special. Growing up my mom always tried to make our birthday a big deal and i want the girls to know how special they are on their day. We really spoil our kids, garrett promised morgan and madalyn that they would set up the tent and sleep in it for morgan's birthday. so they did and they had a blast. Happy birthday moragn. I love you very much.

Our little Natalie turned one on the 14th of this month. I can't believe that she is that old, time has really flown by with this one. She really didn't know what to think about this birthday thing. Her sisters and kyla opened most of her gifts just cause she couldn't get them opened fast enough for them. She did love her birthday cake and ice cream. We are so greatful for Natalie she just melts your heart with her blue eyes.

Mothers Day 2008

This pictures were suppose to go after the other mothers day pictures but oh well. I just wanted to express to all the mothers out there. How gratful i am for mothers. I don't think i realized how much i love my mom until i became a mother myself. They do so much for us in our lives and it is sometimes really hard. I am so thankful that i am a mom. The lord has given me these 3 great girls to raise and someday they will all be moms. That is scary to me to know i have the responsiblity to teach them all they need to know to raise their families. I just love being a MOM, their is no great words i think than Mom, I Love You. It makes all the hard days worth it.

Happy Mothers Day Mom!!!

I hope everyone had a great mothers day, we sure did. Garrett started off the day by bringing me breakfast in bed and it was a great breakfast. Then to church we all went to enjoy a great few hours. We ate lunch with my mom's side of the family, we are so blessed to have both sides of the family here. It also makes life kind of hard to share the day between both families. The girls love it though, two grandma's in one day (what could be better).

Paint, Paint and More Paint

I will be so glad when we are all done Painting the outside of the house, we are about 90% done. We just have the white trim left to do. I was hoping to get alot done today but the wind was blowing so bad we had to stop about 3:00 so in the morning i will be back outside with the girls. Garrett is teaching a CPR class tonight so i thought i would get on here and up date our lives. This weekend we are headed up to spokane for dan black (kimberly's husdand) law school graduation the girls are so excited to stay the night and go swimming in the pool. My kids would live in a pool if i let them.
This next week we have 3 birthdays in our family, Natalie's the 14th Morgan's the 19th and Garrett's the 20th. So we will be having lots of cake and ice cream. It is really hard having 3 in one weeks time. Talk about a $$$$ crunch. Does anyone have any great birthday ideas for Natalie that is turning 1??? It's had having 3 girls cause we already have lots of toys and dolls. so i could use some help. Also if you have any great ideas for the rest of them it would be nice. For garrett i surprised him with tickets to go see Carrie Underwood in spokane on May 24th, my sweet sister and Brock are going to watch the kids that weekend for us. They have been married almost one year. this will be the best birth control (a weekend with 3 kids). Well have a great day everyone and take time to enjoy the little things in life.

We had family pictures taken this past week, they turned out ok. I hate getting family pictures done it takes me forever picking out outfits and then it is such a pain to get them all looking cute and STAYING cute. But we finally did it. I do love having them once they are all done. I wanted to get them done before the braces went on. Yes i got them, monday i went in the office and came out with some metal, and i keep asking myself why i did it. My teeth are really sore, i hope in a week i can eat normal. This may be the best diet ever!! We started painting the outside of the house yesterday the color in called smokey olive. Garrett had to go back to work today so i'm trying to get some house work done inside. I hope this painting doesn't take forever, with kids it seems like i hardly get to help out for very long, before one of them needs my help.

A Hard Day

I hope everyone has had one of the days that i have had, nothing went really wrong but it has just been a hard day being a mom. I never thought this mom business would be so hard. Having three kids so close together has been hard and when you try and do anything it makes you think Why do i even try!!! I guess i just needed to vent to someone so sorry. How do you guys handle days that you just want to throw in the towel on life??????
Well on a happy note...... i'm getting braces back on. I know everyone that really knows me is thinking why. So here is the story. I worked as an orthodontic assistant for 3 years and just loved it. in fact there are days ( like today i would love to go back to work) i had braces 5 years ago and then got a retainer in those 5 years i have had some shifting going on on my lower arch so i went yesterday to get a different kind of a retainer and the doctor said that he didn't think i would be happy with my teeth with as much knowledge i have about teeth, just to leave them the way they are now. which he is right i'm really picky about teeth. garrett thinks i'm crazy when it comes to peoples teeth, i already told him all of our kids would have ortho treatment done. Well i should only have them on for 9 months, and they are FREE so why not.

yard work

It has been a long time since i have been on here to let everyone know how are little family is doing. We have been so busy these last few weeks with yard work. On house is on 1.5 acres and so that gives us lots of room; which we love the extra space but it requires alot more work. When we first bought this house 2 years ago we didn't have any landscaping or trees in the yard the house was built and then nothing done with the yard. So these past few weeks we have been planting tree, scrubs, flowers and i also found a little time to start my veg. garden. I love working outside in the yard, that is something that i have always loved doing and when the house is your it makes it even more special and exciting to see the changes you have done. We have also had alot of rock brought in from beaver bark, we got gravel to go in the driveway, river rock to go in all the flower beds and around trees, and then we had pea gravel to go under the swing set and around the tramp and in the sand box(the kids area). this has required alot of hard labor shoveling all the rock around to the different parts of the house. But i have loved it, we are having ok weather and i have to be out in the sun. ( hoping to get a tan). After we get done with that we are going to paint the outside of the house, the garage was added on after the house was built and so it was never painted and so the house is 8 years old we are just going to paint the whole thing now a different color. we had someone come out and the bid was $6,500 for them to do it, so garrett has decided to do it ourselves. I hate painting. Well better go i think that LOST starts back up this week and i love that show, i can't miss it.

ps. here are some pictures of the girls playing outside, and in dress up clothes.
